History

In 2005 through 2008 our founders each spent several months volunteering at a school in Ghana.  Early on we saw all that is possible in transforming education for the under-served when a community comes together.  In the beginning the school we served had just 30 children and one full-time teacher.  It didn’t even have so much as it’s own structure.

The school became a pilot to understand how transformation is possible.  Today this school is home to 250 children, a library, a computer center, and over a dozen teachers.  In the school’s first graduating class, 100% got into high schools, while barely more than 35% nation-wide accomplish this feat.

We found the key to success was simply listening to community members.  They have many fantastic ideas to improve education that often cost little or nothing, they just need the inspiration, guidance, and some resources to convert these ideas into action.  And so World Partners was born.

Today, we have a dedicated team ready to build relationships with new communities, listen to their ideas, and inspire action to transform education so all children have the skills and knowledge to achieve their full potential.
