Mission
The mission of World Partners in Education (WPE) is to improve the quality of and expand access to education in under-served areas that empowers people and communities for the future while respecting the local culture and history. To achieve this mission we will partner with educational organizations to pursue locally supported goals, monitor long-term outcomes, and connect communities with needed resources.
Strategy
World Partners in Education employs a multi-faceted strategy to make targeted gains in educational delivery and student achievement within our partner communities. We send year-long consultants and quarterly volunteers to work with our local communities and put their best ideas into action to improve their schools. Our focus is on effecting second-order change through research-based interventions chosen with the guidance of the local stakeholders and allies. Ultimately, our goal is to achieve transformation in the school community and ensure that our support is no longer needed.

What Sets Us Apart
World Partners in Education takes conventional approaches to education assistance in developing countries and turns them on their head.
Our volunteers are there to serve the community. The community is not there to serve the volunteers.
Too often volunteer programs place a heavy tax on already struggling communities. Mutual learning is an important facet of our program, and our volunteers are expected to demonstrate respect towards our school communities and live within them.
We seek communities with ideas they wish to understand. We do not plan research to study communities.
Development experts often have their own ideas about how they can solve the problems of others. At World Partners we nurture the ideas from members of the community, work with them to convert those ideas into action, and help community members understand how to improve and sustain their efforts.
Our focus is on building education with communities, rather than merely building physical structures.
We seek to create successful educational foundations for our schools working within their existing physical structures. Our goal is to utilize the best ideas from the community, our consultants, and our volunteers and use targeted human capital and financial investments to bring these ideas to fruition. We strive for low-cost interventions that a school community can sustain without constant financial support.
